Legacy 03:42
Lyrics Verse: Tie my hands behind my back, and make me walk the blank, this oceans an explosion. And the tears that make up the waves, make it easy to tread, on the souls of the damned. Pre-chorus: And I'll be damn sure to make you, know just who I am. Chorus: Cause I'm calling on my legacy, to find out what I'm meant to be, and if you don't have time for me, then you might as well be my enemy. I'm calling on my legacy, to find out what I'm meant to be, and if you don't have space for me, then you may as well be my enemy (enemy) Verse: I'm tired of stepping over stones, that were broken long ago, cause their life, was never what they made it. In the end, left jaded, washed up and broken on the shore, and their lives were left devastated. Pre-Chorus: And I'll be damn sure to make you know just who I am. Chorus: Cause I'm calling on my legacy, to find out what I'm meant to be, and if you don't have time for me, then you might as well be my enemy. I'm calling on my legacy, to find out what I'm meant to be, and if you don't have space for me, then you may as well be my enemy (enemy) then you may as well be my enemy (enemy) then you may as be my enemy (enemy) Bridge: And when I find my feet is when I learn to breathe, making me dare to dream, holding my place in society, society, and the mistakes I've made, don't always carve the way, so don't over complicate, just stand in line and follow and follow me. (Instrumental) Chorus: I'm calling on my legacy, to find out what I'm meant to be, and if you don't have time for me, then you might as well be my enemy. I'm calling on my legacy, to find out what I'm meant to be, and if you don't have space for me, then you may as well be my enemy (enemy) then you may as well be my enemy (enemy) then you may as be my enemy (enemy) (You don't have)

about

Legacy is about flipping the bird, telling people that want to drag you down to read between the lines, to power through all the struggles that life deals you and come out on top. Not to give in to social pressure to conform to be 'normal'. Dare to be you, dare to be anything but ordinary!

Tie my hands behind my back
and make me walk the plank
this oceans an explosion
And the tears that make up the waves
make it easy to tread
on the souls of the damned

And I'll be damn sure to make you
know just who I am

Cause I'm calling on my legacy
to find out what I'm meant to be
and if you don't have time for me
then you might as well be my enemy
I'm calling on my legacy
to find out what I'm meant to be
and if you don't have space for me
then you may as well be my enemy (enemy)

I'm tired of stepping over stones
that were broken long ago
cause their life
was never what they made it
In the end, left jaded
washed up and broken on the shore
and their lives were left devastated

And I'll be damn sure to make you
know just who I am

Cause I'm calling on my legacy
to find out what I'm meant to be
and if you don't have time for me
then you might as well be my enemy
I'm calling on my legacy
to find out what I'm meant to be
and if you don't have space for me
then you may as well be my enemy (enemy)
then you may as well be my enemy (enemy)
then you may as be my enemy (enemy)

And when I find my feet is when I learn to breath
making me dare to dream
holding my place in society, society
and the mistakes I've made
don't always carve the way
so don't over complicate
just stand in line and follow and follow me

I'm calling on my legacy
to find out what I'm meant to be
and if you don't have time for me
then you might as well be my enemy
I'm calling on my legacy
to find out what I'm meant to be
and if you don't have space for me
then you may as well be my enemy (enemy)
then you may as well be my enemy (enemy)
then you may as be my enemy (enemy)
(You don't have)

about

Animal Culture Plymouth, UK

Animal Culture came together through a mutual love of indie-pop and 80s music. In a reality where people find it hard to articulate or express themselves, we're all about connecting with people through music. We want to ease the stereotypes & societal pressures we put on ourselves by celebrating difference and encouraging self-liberation through real life lyrics, galvanising synths and raw vocals. ... more
